Gold loan: Kerala Bank reaches fourth position among Kerala Banks

Kerala State Cooperative Bank (Kerala Bank) rose to the fourth position in terms of Gold loan outstanding amont the Banks in Kerala as it total gold loan portfolio crosses Rs 1000 crore.
The Bank attained this feat just two weeks after it ran its second 100 day campaign focussed on gold loan that runs from 22.12.2025 to 31.03.2026. The first of such a 100 day campaign that ended October 31, 2025 brought in an additional of Rs 2701 crore to its gold loan portfolio.
The monthly interest is just 77 paise for every Rs 100 for gold loans up to Rs 1 lakh during this campaign period .The Bank which boasts of Rs 1.25 lakh crore total business, is the largest cooperative bank in the country.
Bank president, Sri.P.Mohanan Master released a poster depicting this rare feat of the Bank. The release function was attended by Bank vice president, Sri. T.V.Rajesh, Bank directors, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sri.Jorty M.Chacko, Executive Director, Sri.Roy Abraham and other higher officials.
Bank president, Sri.P.Mohanan Master and CEO, Sri.Jorty M.Chacko said that the customers were expected to make optimum use of the Gold loans of the Bank, that are lower in interest rates when private financial companies and Non Banking Finance Comapnies (NBFCs) are charging exorbitant rates.
