Kerala Bank disburses grant of Rs 45 lakh to 15 FPOs
Kerala State Cooperative Bank (Kerala Bank) has disbursed a grant of Rs 3 lakh each as second phase grant to 15 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) totalling Rs 45 lakh.
Bank President, Sri.P.Mohanan Master inaugurated the grant distribution to these 15 FPOs set up by the Bank. The Bank has so far launched 36 FPOs and has disbursed a total of Rs.1.08 crore to these FPOs. Bank directors, CHief Executive Officer, Sri.Jorty M Chacko, other higher officials and employees participated.
FPOs are being constituted with an aim of getting better prices for the products of small-scale farmers as well as for the betterment of the agricultural sector.
